How We Got Started
We have a long history with the Coffee family. I taught with Kelly Coffee, Kathy’s daughter in law and became close friends, which lead me to meeting Kathy and later becoming a craft vendor at her open houses at Coffee’s Embroidery.
Kennedy, our youngest daughter, started seeking employment in the 11th grade that would meet the requirements for her Marketing class and work release from school each day. This was a daunting task, as she also had to find an employer who would be willing to allow her to work around her volleyball and softball commitments. Kathy was quick to hire Kennedy. Kathy was a huge supporter of the school system and was the chairperson for the Lunenburg County School Board. She supported students and her community any way she was able. Kathy supported Kennedy at work and you would often find Kathy in the bleachers at Kennedy’s volleyball and softball games. Kennedy worked with Kathy until we bought the business on Nov. 1, 2023.
Kennedy learned the trade of embroidery and the day to day run of a small business. She has taught me everything about embroidering apparel, hats and more. We continued Kathy’s love of embroidery and hope to add special touches to people’s lives in our shop. We’ve added laser engraved items and offer promotional swag and resources to help other businesses succeed.
